Go back to university, you are completely clueless.

You live a life of privilege because of democracy and the free market yet you and other clowns on this thread would agitate for anarchism and the far left and transform our society in something resembling the Soviet Union or Cuba. People in the EU (Greece included) with more opportunities and freedoms than most people on this earth would rather dump the system for systems with a proven record of failure and misery. Un-f***ing-believable!

What annoys me are gobshytes on here glorifying people who destroy other people's property and threaten other people's well being. In the streets of Athens it is small business people struggling to provide for their families and employees and ordinary people going about their business that are the targets of these hoodlums. It is a disgrace that arm chair street warriors with cushy middle class upbringing and a cushy life (in world terms) provided for by the free market and liberal government that are the quickest to glorify thuggery.

Memo to the thicks: maybe it was cool when Danny the Red and his goons burned Paris but now it marks you out as a sad work-shy immature snotty-nosed twerp who badly needs to get a life.
Again, do you read your own posts?? Have a look at what you talked about..

23 parties... ya, and how many ran in all constituencies? Only 5 parties had candidates elected to parliament. [We had 6 parties elected in 2007-there is a choice, but i wouldn't be happy voting for any of them]

You then declare your devotion to the infallibility of the state machinery, and its monopoly on the acceptable use of force. (which you nearly got away with before your mask fell).

Anarchists are presented as people that seem to do little other than "riot and smash the place". [colonial adventures on the other hand are benevolent and necessary actions; the mass destruction is regretable, but justified]

Then you let rip on the "gobshytes", "hoodlums" and "thicks", why? Because they have commited the greatest of sins, they have shown disregard for the almighty 'property rights'. ["destroy other people's property"].

Then the concern, for who? small business people of course!! And you do what...?? Self-employed! But the ordinary people get a mention.. going about their "business" [they are consumers, and good citizens that don't make a fuss].

Then the fun line, "arm chair street warriors" ... "cushy middle class"
    ... "cushy life"...
So, you're not doing too well yourself then?? Or is cushy middle class only reserved for the professional classes, regardless how much the self-employed make?

Glorify thuggery?? When did I do that??

And when was there a "free market" in Ireland? Or anywhere? Its not free when the state has so much influence.

Actually this is something I have noticed...The most aggressive and deliberately obnoxious posters on this forum tend to be neo-cons...I know I can be a little OTT at times but I just dont know how liamfoley,et al do it...

Whoa, such anger!! And I never said I wanted a system like the Soviet Union or Cuba anymore than I want one like we have now or what you would like us to have.

You really need to chill out. You're being irrational, rude and patronising and you insist on erecting straw men in every post for yourself to knock down. You have succeeded in completely moving all discussion away from the actual substance of the thread.

He was, therefore, among so many young people of a generation that the politically correct were quick to describe as lost. Among all those who chose their partners' hand and travelled the 1990s from protest to protest, from ro****************************************** to ro******************************************, standing in solidarity with passion in every social aspect, who chose to confront power with their rights and their wrongs, their differences amongst themselves and their stubbornness, confounding the authority that wanted them to simply be passers by in the social struggles. Not that there weren't any such people. Quite the contrary. Since then I have met up with Lambros and been side by side many times in marches, ro******************************************s and clashes.

Lambros Fountas was shot dead because he opened fire on police officers who caught him red handed trying to steal a car.

His death had nothing to do with his anarchism but because the cops were protecting themselves was a nut with a gun who was trying to kill them.

Jaysus, he musn't have worked a day in his life.

Has anyone got a link from the mainstream media for this, BBC, RTÉ, Irish Times, The Times, New York Times, The Guardian etc.? I haven't been able to find any and I'd be interested in reading what they've to say rather than the politically motivated allegation and counter-allegation that's going on here.

Hahaha. You imply that mainstream media isn't politically motivated?! Funny...
