I thought the original words at the start of the anthem were 'Sine laochra fail....' I wonder why they were changed?

I was taught Sinne Loachra Gael in school. And the anthem used to be sung in English. FF take credit for evereything, after all Dev founded the state, won independence,drained the Shannon, restored the Irish language, and ruined the country twice in the last 30 years.

I am speaking metaphorically,Dev and FF are the state , spiritual leader, like louis of France létat cést moi.Haughey is there too in the celestial cabinet. FF can do no wrong, they are immortal, and like Pope infallible,justg like Lenihan is today despite NAMA, Anglo etc, and the people buy it.
