Luddite statement, the biggest problem is not GMO's as such, moreso, it is our failure to understand the consequences of their usage. I was actually hoping this would bring out the conspiracy theorists to keep us entertained for a while, as this must be driving them nuts (EU + Germany + GMO). They didn't disappoint!

There are serious social issues with the use of GMO's and chucking around smearwords: doesn't make them go away! The so-called "terminator gene" is particularly dangerous.
