In a 'doomsday' situation the Vampire in the museum cannot be made operational. It has been stripped clean. It is an airframe hanging from the ceiling.

I presume the parts that were stripped are still in military custodianship.

These aircraft were maintaind to a v.high standard.and little used.

There is no apparent reason therefor why in a doomsday situation they could not be refitted and made operational.

It is hard for people to understand as the modern world doesnt work from the people up, it works from the politicians down.

If the TV, Media and Politicians fall down to their knees in event of an EU demand then so will the people.

People voted yes to the Lisbon treaty without ANY obvious benefits to themselves, this is because they were told to, this is how it works.

Please quote the line in the Lisbon Treaty - or in of the other EU treaties - that gives 'Brussels' the power to conscript any EU citizen.

This also trumps any bid by 'Brussels' or the French or Germans to drag Ireland into any war.

Yeah well that's great news that is

- one slight flaw is that outside of this State nobody else is legally bound by it.

If an EU State attacks an outside power (almost inevitable this will happen sooner or later) then we as an EU State are going to get dragged in like it or not.

We will be involved in a war situation if the target of the attack decides to retaliate

- its highly unlikely that we will be viewed as anything other than a hostile State in such a scenario

- even if we do nothing from a military point of view.
