It's true that there is someting a little unnerving about seeing the words "Messerschmitt" and "Daimler-Benz" in the same sentence in relation tomodern current affairs but let's face it, the British and the French have large military constructors too.
I'd say that at some point there will be the equivelent of an EU army, or "Task/Expeditionary/Peace-keeping Force", and armies need equipment. I'd imagine the military industries will be preparing themselves to be the most efficient in order to win any contracts that might be tendered in the future.

Anti-Germany? I wonder if you'll ever get anything right on this forum beyond the comment on the Ron Paul thread over on the Foreign Affairs section. This thread is more pro-Germany than anything you'll ever come up with, because to be "anti-Germany" is to lie about what Germany's government is up to.
Also, a single sentence is a "rant"? Um, no. Rants take up several paragraphs and generally violate paragraph rules. Rants generally feature personal opinions rather than stark reality. Not my fault that you want to hide from reality. The former is not under discussion at all. However, the latter certainly is. Heard about the groups demanding reparations for "displaced" Germans from the governments of the Czech Republic and Poland? How about the South Tyrolese demanding "independence" from Italy? Better hope that Mrs Merkel's coalition holds together; they're already too far right for not only the country's good but also the continent's.
