Ireland For Europe still in the red.

I got an email today from Ireland for Europe. I really wasn’t expecting to be getting an email from them.

It turns out that Ireland for Europe are still in existence as they are in a debt of about €150,000. They are blaming the spending of the no side for this.

So to tackle this they are organising an event. An €160 a head one!! I dont see many people signing up for this one!

    Who cares, they won.
"Elite - a small superior group; esp one that has a power out of proportion to its size." (Oxford English Dictionary)

The majority cannot therefore be the elite.

Saw that too. So much for the Yes side being awash with cash!

I remember during the campaign they were saying that getting the money in was tough and Pat Cox did say that they were cutting back on spending. They were employing full-time fundraisers as well. I wonder if the Directors should be reported for reckless trading if they cannot clear the debt?

Out of interest, given the OP, where are Libertas getting the cash to pay back Decko?

Why doesn't Ireland for Europe ask their many celebrity sponsors for a digout?

Robbie Keane, for example, was a sponsor who didn't appear to take any part in the campaign - but should be able to help out financially without even noticing it.

Amused that the email referred to last minute spending by the No side being a factor in the yes deficit - didn't notice this increased No campaign. No campaign had limited funds and did not run a good campaign. Ganley did not throw money at campaign this time.
