France: 'Autistic Tories have castrated UK in Europe'

French Europe minister says David Cameron's pledge to reclaim EU powers is 'pathetic' and will leave Britain isolated.

The Conservatives have been accused by the French government of "castrating" Britain's position within the EU by adopting an "autistic" approach that would take Britain off the radar.

Speaking to the Guardian, Pierre Lellouche, France's Europe minister, described as "pathetic" the Tories' EU plans announced today, warning they would not succeed "for a minute".

+ germany is getting angry to.

The uk will be even worse off within a next few years.
Still, even as the investor consensus ravages the euro, it's worth remembering that the same herd instinct not long ago was pronouncing last rites for the dollar. Last year, as China's central bank chief called for a new global currency and Russian central bankers dumped greenbacks to buy euros, many saw the dollar's decline as inevitable. Now, the dollar is riding high, and the euro looks bedraggled.

I couldn't be bothered actually looking for it, but for those of you who are interested The Economist has a good article on this subject in this week's issue.

I doubt the British actually Care.....

There are alternatives to the EU that Britain has like the Commonwealth which they had to restrict heavily when they joined europe.

Euroscepticism is going to emerge across europe, yesterday was only day one of a new campaign.

David Cameron is obviously anti-european. He still thinks Britania rules the waves look at the stuborn way he plans to hold onto the north with his alliance with the UUP.

Go dream on, the only place where euroscepticism is going to emerge is in your head.

Judging from the last few days.... I doubt Cameron will be the leader before the election as Daniel Hannan resigned from the front bench.

The Tories will likely win but not by a landslide as UKIP and the BNP are likely to steal seats from Labour and the Liberal Democrats........

I think it'll be a conservative & UKIP Government..... the north wanted a referendum on Lisbon so I think the tory decision will anger both Unionist and Republican.

Great when the French get peeved over something and have to use English to express themselves. Always guarantees great quotes

You threw the first punch.... so don't go crying to mommy when you're missing a couple of teeth or brain cells.

The article shows that the actions of the EU are going to have drastic consequences.... and not in your favour.
