"I am not a woman at your disposal" Campaign gathers pace in Italy.

Well this is nice to see : Italian women say ciao to the showgirl image - Telegraph

Of course on Politics.ie , theres all types- even those who would deny that sex-trafficking happens and that the
disposal issue does not actually exist; but that is what happens when you deny and cheapen the contribution
of women to our societites: http://www.politics.ie/current-affai...afficking.html

I'd say Michelle Obama started that ball rolling: http://www.politics.ie/foreign-affai...mrs-obama.html

The Campaign started in La Repubblica and has garnered 100,000 signatures, I remember a pal writing me
and saying that the cheapening of politics by Silvio Berlusconi was a feminist issue, that was six months ago.
Italian women are very proud and highly educated- if that is reduced and cheapened to just getting the
Premier horny, well thats a problem. (Though it didn't stop some hussies doing it, nor indeed being paid
to have sex with Silvio, because as we all know Silvio never Paid for sex: http://english.aljazeera.net/news/eu...956229663.html )

Considering that women make up half of Italy's electorate, workforce and a great percentage of it's tax input- one would assume that they deserve better than this. Then again (and I don't intend to offend) Italy is in many ways Ireland's southern cousin in the sense that politics is seen as some sort of game. This is why philistines, sexists and economically clueless fools in general hold offices which should be among the most considered positions in the state, giving the power they infer upon the individual holding them. Then again let's not be too hard on the Italians here- at least from an Irish perspective. We've had over two decades of property porn in the La-la land of Bertie & Galway tent.co.ltd.

Not just certain Italian women at his disposal. FG line up beside Berlusconi and FF defy their own political group by abstaining without warning.

The Lawyers for Papa Silvio must be very (very) wealthy men and women what with him losing his immunity from prosecution and Lario waiving her right to privacy and the 'discreet out of court settlement. he's still using the PDL to avoid trial however... .... (allegedly). Whoever suceeds the PDL is going to have to take a good look at Berlusconi's legislative changes over the last number of years, lest they are tarred with the same brush : Outrage at Berlusconi 'amnesty' Bill - The Irish Times - Fri, Nov 13, 2009

Feminists in general looked the other way when it was Bill Clinton acting the goat. I wonder why the double-standard.

l was just thinking about that Tradcat, hmmm. l think Clinton was more discreet and therefore perceived as service dedicated. He genuinely adores women and did not denigrate their role or position on the basis of appearance. He also promoted on merit and not on fellating technique. Papa Grabbi is a child in a sweetshop in comparison.
