Business people have been kidnapped in the past in Ireland Ben Dunne,Dr Darragh, etc.You can see the tiger kidnapping getting more common.

I would think such crimes are much less likely to happen in a country like Norway, which does not have the extreme differences in wealth found in Ireland or the UK.
Norway are resource rich,and protect it for their people which is right.We hand ours away by Judas politicians shafting their people.Norway is a Nanny State and has the resources to keep it nannyized ,but down the road when these resource run dry their will be trouble.When people get used of entitlements for doing nothing,they feel they are entitled to them even if the state cannot provide them ,when resources run out .Example Ireland today 56 billion out 30/31 billion coming in and people still think you can have the same quality of service.
Irelands and Western Welfare State deficit spending countries standards of living are going to drop and people had better be prepare and get used of it.

I hardly think paying a huge chunk of your salary as tax equals 'doing nothing!'.When people get used of entitlements for doing nothing,they feel they are entitled to them even if the state cannot provide them
Also, as I've said before, Norway has been poor for much longer than it has been rich. If/when Norway is no longer able to fund a very comfortable lifestyle for its people, the Norwegians will survive, as they have kept strong community values intact. They haven't gone aroudn squandering their wealth on Prada handbags or villas in Dubai, unlike in some countries we could mention...
When the resources run out ,they will have to take a bigger chunk of jackboot tax.
