IRELAND should follow the UK out of the European Union to secure its relationship with post-Brexit Britain, an economist said.

Well if the express say we should then I'm convinced
"We're too weak to fight EU"
Shock admission as Dutch senators overturn referendum result.
THE NETHERLANDS today formally ratified a treaty between the European Union and Ukraine that was rejected by more than 60 per cent of voters in a democratic referendum.
Politicians sitting in the Dutch Senate voted to approve the agreement this morning, bringing to an end a year-long battle by the establishment to force it through against the will of the public.
Ironically just under two-thirds of senators cast their ballots to drag the deal over the finishing line, the exact inverse of the number of Dutch voters who opposed it just a year ago.
EU Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker was quick to hail the result of the Senate vote, saying it showed once and for all that “Ukraine’s place is in Europe”.
His remarks came despite the fact that prime minister Mark Rutte has tried to reassure the Dutch people that the agreement does not mean Kiev is automatically on the path to joining the EU.
Will Ireland ever wake up and realise that the EU is pure evil ?
Time to get off the sinking ship.
illogical convoluted horsesh1t to defend the EU again i see
the Dutch electorate expressed their opinion ........They are supposed to be sovereign ....but the EU is not or has no intentions of being democratic
if given a vote at this stage i would vote leave , id be unhappy about the lost opportunity , wasted by a smug arrogant out of touch greedy elite and an unquenchable German need to dominate and subjugate Europe
lots of justified criticism goes Trumps way , but Juncker is just as mendacious dangerous and stupid but the EU fan boys are blindly in love
the eu being democratic is a nonsense, the real decisions are made by the unelected ecb and the imf, if the public vote otherwise nothing will change, look at greece at the moment.
The E.U serves the wealthy well such as bankers and forces austerity policy on the regular people
No they are not. Under the Dutch Constitution, their Parliament is sovereign. Their system is even more extreme about Parliamentary Sovereignty than the British one is.
And, like it or not, but in their general election in March, their parties, who opposed the agreement, flopped badly. And, those who supported it - and the legally binding statement addressing the main "issues" about the agreement issued by the European Council in December last year - secured a clear and comfortable majority in their Parliament.
