In my local authority area, 99% of waste was going to landfill before charges were brought in. Even today, when you can unload a full car of recyclable waste for €3 at the local civic amenity centre, while a refuse bin tag costs €12, 75% of domestic waste is going to landfill.
You have just shown why the present system doesn't work - thanks

Joe Higgins lives in a parallel universe.

I'm going to post this image every time somebody attaches any credibility to anything this idiot says.
At the risk of needing a gas mask I have managed, between green and brown bins to only need a bin tag once every 6 weeks or so. It takes 5 mins a day but it works for me, and when I feel lazy the kids earn their pocket money for this.
Dont throw out the baby with the bathwater, or you might get a litter fine.

Glad to hear you disagree with Joe's policies then... yet another reason to vote for him
    Oooh, look, a bandwagon!

Your hearing is defective then, I am totally sickened and p****d off with the cowardice of most politicians utterances and maybe if one or two had a bit of backbone, a sliver of intelligence and a little less interest in the party and a bit more interest in the country, I might have a choice a real choice. Until then I will support smaller parties and independents. We can all use devs cynical tactics

My hearing is fine, but i find reading more appropriate here

I was going to try and reason with you on this but there really is no point. Hopefully Joe Higgins' party will remain small so that he can count on your continued support, given that the main voring criterion used by you is that "size matters"
