Surprisingly low considering that people are supposed to so price sensitive in these times! Especially since it is such a low hassle change over procedure.

    Incredibly poor take up.

I despair for this country, I really do.

I was thinking of signing up. I assume im like most people waiting to see what the catch is. An Bord Gais don't fill me with a lot of confidence.
Will they offer off peak electricity? ESB are starting to issue new meters what I bet will give a 10% reduction.

In this case there is no such thing as a 10% cheaper lunch!

Well, I signed over within hours of it going online - hope it does pay off in savings, household utility bills are costly enough these days as it is. And Bord Gais do explicitly state that one can switch back again to the ESB without penalty - course whether or not the ESB want to take you back is their choice, they're hardly likely to refuse returning customers in these times
