The issue is with the carbon that is being released from sinks that were created millions of years ago. Nature cannot re-capture this carbon at the same rate it is being released, with the result that our climate shifts out of its natural cycle.

Yes the carbon sink was created when the earths atmosphere was 3000ppm of CO2. We are in a relatively Carbon starved environment today at 380ppm.

And there is nothing mind bogglingly stupid by what I said.
Man releases and captures CO2 in a constant dynamic process.

All political parties are suckered in to the religion because they are herd animals themselves. They are career politicians not thinking individuals.

If ever there was a case of doublethink it is the following from your post:

"Nature constantly releases and captures carbon in cycles of anything from 1 to 100 years. The release of this carbon is not the issue, given that our climate has adapted to these cycles"

The release of Carbon is the issue. Nature (Man) releases and captures Carbon in annual cycles as my figures show. I guess you just can't come up with figures or a alternative to my figures.

You know what, taxes will solve whatever is wrong with the Climate.
