It just goes to show how little common sense is hereditary. They aren't the first financial dynasty to find that the thirs generation are thick beyond belief and end up pissing away the work of their forefathers.

    unbelievable...
And I use the standard acceleration formula in conjunction with Excel's
Slope formula and we got the same results or at least really close.

What's unbelievable is that OdeToJoy believes sea levels can rise a
meter or more by 2100 when his calculations show him that the
empirical record is heading nowhere near that prediction.

Thank's for telling Trainwreck he is a <expletive deleted>, without a clue. At least we agree on that.

What is unbelieveable is that you, as a numerate and literate educated person can believe (a) either glaciers will stop melting by magic, or (b) they will melt, but magical thinking will make the water disappear.

Added to thermal expansion, it is the ice sheet melt that will drive sea level in the 21st century.

You also believe that dozens of scientists, nay - hundreds or thousands, are engaged in a vast conspiracy to subvert The American Way of Life, which somehow depends on fossil fuel.

These beliefs are rooted in ideology, rather than science.

But let's look at the scientific prediction - it is dependent on emissions and temperature rise, but seems to be between 0.25m and 1m, figures which many believe are too small.

65% of people living today have never ever experienced a year where the global average temperature is less than the twentieth century average.

It’s official: 2014 was the hottest year in recorded history - The Washington Post

Something strangely hypnotic about this NASA video.

I didn't say that, I just said I got the same
answer you did. So we don't agree

Not what I said, now pay attention:

If a glacier is advancing the flow in the river
will reflect the amount of precipitation in the
valley decreased by the amount of water stored
    in the advancing ice.

If a glacier is receding the flow in the river
will reflect the amount of precipitation in the
valley increased by the amount of water from the
    melting ice.

If the glacier is static or absent, the flow in
the river will reflect the amount of precipitation.

Note: A glacier that recedes to nothing does
not cause the rain and snow to stop falling.

Melting ice is no doubt driving it now. Where
is the evidence that the rate will speed up?

I know that there is a pattern of adjusting
data one way. Whenever you read the headline,
"Worse than previously thought," that's what's
    going on.

So they say. I just want to know when all this

    to begin to happen.

Kindly STFU you loon. This debate is finished, global warming is a scientific fact. No amount of blathering bullsh1t using cherry picked data is going to change this simple fact. Us normal, rational folk should stop bothering to debate with you lot and just point and laugh instead.
