Dead right, give em a backbone or rip one out. Either will do.

    Do you mean Jimmy Swaggart?

Swaggart was a helluva performer. Not surprising since he's the cousin of Jerry Lee Lewis.
15 Jan 2001 -- Fine Gael pledged to end fluoridation because of "serious health concerns".

I meant Haggard. He led 30 million and was caught doing a male prostitute. Swaggart was a different guy. He was unusual because the prostitute he was caught doing was female. This explains it all http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... t=lf&hl=en

Sign of the really stupid: believes that Al Gore is responsible for the consensus view of 40 years of climate science.

Hmm and I thought the neocon conspiracy was to melt the ice so we could drill for the oil underneath ?

So what? If he's making money out of climate change, let him do so. If it turns out the science is right (which is very much what's on the cards) then he has made money doing something useful. If it turns out to be wrong, he's done no more harm than the next snake-oil merchant.

The important point is that Al Gore is not a scientist. His opinions are derivative, and irrelevant to the question of whether the science is right or wrong. AL Gore can be Satan or Mother Theresa without any impact whatsoever on whether the climate scientists are right.

That, in turn, is why arguing against the science of climate change by arguing against Al Gore is very low wattage.

If the science is right or wrong Al will be making money by screwing us over, for instance through advocating a carbon rationing scheme. There are, after all ways of fighting climate change without lowering our standard of living.

Ibis is as usual back to front. Billions of dollars changing hands but we are supposed to ignore that and just pay up. If Ireland is hit with a 300 million euro fine Ibis will not say who puts this money in their pocket. His lame answer is likely to be that it does not matter who gets the money.

So Ibis. Who gets the cash?
