Kilimanjaro's snows melt away in dramatic evidence of climate change

Kilimanjaro's snows melt away in dramatic evidence of climate change

The snows of Mount Kilimanjaro will be gone within two decades, according to scientists who say that the rapid melting of its glacier cap over the past century provides dramatic physical evidence of global climate change.

Around the time (2005) that heavy snow started falling on Alpine ski resorts in late October after a period of three years in five in which snowfall commenced later than usual time of mid-late November.

    Heads Up. CLIMATEGATE!!!!

I tried to post a thread here, but I only have 4 Posts. Perhaps someone should do it, it deserves a thread of its own, because this one has got legs.

Maybe it's forged by the hackers, maybe not. We don't know yet.....Anyway.

Climategate: the final nail in the coffin of 'Anthropogenic Global Warming'?

If you own any shares in alternative energy companies I should start dumping them NOW. The conspiracy behind the Anthropogenic Global Warming myth (aka AGW; aka ManBearPig) has been suddenly, brutally and quite deliciously exposed after a hacker broke into the computers at the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit (aka Hadley CRU) and released 61 megabites of confidential files onto the internet. (Hat tip: Watts Up With That)

When you read some of those files – including 1079 emails and 72 documents – you realise just why the boffins at Hadley CRU might have preferred to keep them confidential. As Andrew Bolt puts it, this scandal could well be “the greatest in modern science”. These alleged emails – supposedly exchanged by some of the most prominent scientists pushing AGW theory – suggest:

Awful weather but at least we have the Greens in government

It's been a depressing week weather-wise, but what a vindication of Green politics...the Green movement has been warning about climate change for decades. If FF was as good at predicting economic trends as the Greens are at predicting changes in the weather, the State's finances would be in healthier shape.

At least there's one silver lining to this miserable few days leading up to the Budget from Hell...the Irish Times this Saturday reports that a staghunting ban is imminent. If there's one thing I dislike more than bad weather it's cruelty to animals dressed up as sport.

I'm happy too about the upcoming puppy farm law because it will have some interesting "side effects" on foxhunting! Regulation of hunt kennels is something the hunts dread more than the anti-lobby.

Yes, the Greens can't undo all the consequences of man's reckless abuse of the environment, but they can certainly make life easier for the animals that some men and women cruelly abuse for kicks!

Speaking as a Green, it's a sad thing to have to be proved right by all the destruction, trauma and associated costs that the latest lot of flooding will incur.

Don't be silly, nobody can ever point to an event like this. You are just exploiting peoples pain saying such a thing.
