Unfair, I do not think that attitude is prevalent. What about Pidge's extremeley carefully thought out, open and researched posts, fpr example?

Professor Bob Carter from James Cook University in Queensland, talks to Nzone Tonight's Allan Lee about how ordinary people can try and find out the truth about Climate Change and global warming.

"Kyoto and other emissions bills will have no measurable effect on Climate change whatsoever, you might as well stand under a shower and tear up a €100 dollar bill,we like to give money away to such things because it makes us feel good, and people like to feel good about themselves"

Arctic ice refuses to melt as ordered

Just a few weeks ago, predictions of Arctic ice collapse were buzzing all over the internet. Some scientists were predicting that the "North Pole may be ice-free for first time this summer". Others predicted that the entire "polar ice cap would disappear this summer".

The Arctic melt season is nearly done for this year. The sun is now very low above the horizon and will set for the winter at the North Pole in five weeks. And none of these dire predictions have come to pass. Yet there is, however, something odd going on with the ice data.

But...but...but...I thought we were all gonna burn to death...I...I...wait!

Now you are telling me we are all gonna freeze to death?!

Fubar, you're telling us that, right now, there's still sea-ice at the North Pole. Amazing.

Tell us something we don't know. Tell us that the glaciers have stopped retreating.

Interesting that the author appears to concede that 2007 Arctic summer ice was indeed a record low.

I will tell you something you don't know. Al Gore has set up a 5 billion dollar fund to sell carbon credits. Everyone in the states can recognise a snake oil seller but the Europeans seem to actually believe this horseshythe. There is a sucker born every minute.

That article doesn't say anything about a "5 billion dollar fund to sell carbon credits". It's about a 5 billion dollar fund to invest in "companies that follow so-called socially responsible guidelines".

That was in the 80s and 90s and Haggart was the final wake up call. They had a hell of a run though. Gore is the exact same con-man as they are as you correctly point out. Same combination as faith and fear.

Good comparison pluralist. credit where credit is due

Gore's company is called Generation Investment Management and it holds 16 million shares of Camco International. It is easy enough to look up these companies for anyone that wants to. Who do think Gore is, Mother Theresa?
