Al Gore's chief scientific ally, Dr James Hansen, responsible for monitoring global temperatures, announced that last month was the hottest October on record.

The world has never seen such freezing heat - Telegraph

    It turns out that
The reason for the freak figures was that scores of temperature records were not based on October readings at all. Figures from the previous month had simply been carried over and repeated two months running.

Why do people think "global warming" will make for nice warm weather?

Increased atmospheric heat means more energy in the system, which means more extremes of weather. This means local hotspots and coldspots where the system tries to dump energy to try to reach a norm.

Which is why it was changed to "Climate change", that way all bases are covered.
If engineers were wrong as often as economists, would anyone fly aeroplanes?

And in the usual way, appear to believe that if they can 'debunk' Al Gore the job is done. Why not try to debunk the Internet instead, then?

You can't debunk science with meeja studies, I'm afraid. These boys are wasting time and money.

"This means local hotspots and coldspots where the system tries to dump energy to try to reach a norm."some few thousand might survive and adapt to slow change ,but the almost intransivity will finish us all in the next 100 years "Lorentz also introduced the concept of "almost-intransivity" in which a system fluctuates around a given average for a period of time but unpredictably ...civilisation is exactly one shopping troll _ey deep ,umm the kenyan string beans or the Argentianian quails tongues, its just so difficult being a consumer

    Hey what?
Have a cup of coffee before you post, the next time please. That made no sense at all.

Lorentz also introduced the concept of "almost-intransivity" in which a system fluctuates around a given average for a period of time but unpredictably LORENTZ The granddaddy of chaos theory studies noted that when complex stable dynamic systems reached their point of energy tolerance ,before they changed to a new stability they typically went through a zone of action he called "almost-intransivity".one of the main characteristics of this zone was wild almost instantaneous changes in behaviour, both structurally and in energy transfer characteristics, systems often went in and out of this phase many times before crossing it and settling into the new stability ,this is the point the global convective circulation is at ,the energy flows he observed were orders of magnitude ,above any contained within either the original system OR the new stability,,,ie the weather is going to exhibit extremes on a scale the public havent been told about ,no point ii suppose
