Thousands have made it down to Durban.

Live from Durban, South Africa, where critical talks on fighting climate change have entered their second week. Key issues here at the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP 17 remain unresolved, including the future of the Kyoto Protocol -- the international treaty with enforceable provisions designed to limit greenhouse-gas emissions. Delegates are also debating how to form a green climate fund to support developing nations most affected by climate change. But we begin not inside the summit, but out in the streets of Durban, where thousands of people marched on Saturday calling for climate justice. We talk to leading environmental activists from around the world. "We're here to send a solid, strong message, a simple message to the leaders and negotiators of the climate change conference that this is no time to play around," says award-winning Nigerian environmental activist Nnimmo Bassey. "This is a time for real commitment to cut emissions and legally bind the agreement to cut emissions. The rich, polluting countries should understand that their inaction ... will destroy the planet ... We can't accept that."
"Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize that we cannot eat money."

Distract. Confuse. And why stop there? Lie. Defame. Conspire. The possiblities are endless. And that is from the "scienitists" not some anonymous bloggers.

Pretty reprehensible. And once again. Where's the "science"? Non existant.
Well, let's look at the "science" climate science deniers have produced:

    (1) An article in the Spectator (non-science) magazine from the oft-debunked chancer Niels-Axel Morner. The article is gutted by a comparison with peer-reviewed science, and Morner's fraudulent claims revealed here: Nils-Axel Mörner is Wrong About Sea Level Rise

    (2) An extended whine about Chris de Freitas, an incompetent and biased journal editor, being force to step down from his position when his entire editorial board resigned in protest at his carry-on. Your can find the facts of the case here: John Mashey | Pal Review By Chris De Freitas, Pat Michaels

    (3) An obviously fraudulently biased chart on solar energy.

    (4) Vague posts about fascism and environmental by Cassandra Syndrome.

    (5) A extended screed about Obama being the new King of a genocidal British Empire by rebellin.

    (6) Lots of whingey-whingey stuff about e-mails, some 10 years old for more.

And this is the sum total of the case against climate change due to man-made CO2? Where is the peer-reviewed science Tombo boasted about? A couple of posts on Anthony Watts' blog are not peer reviewed science.

Check out these papers and posts:

Climate Sensitivity Estimated from Temperature Reconstructions of the Last Glacial Maximum
Arctic sea ice loss unprecedented in 1,450 years - Technology & Science - CBC News

    and

More hockey sticks ... this time based on estimations from glaciers lengths of over 300 glaciers ... nothing to do with Michael Mann or tree rings, but very similar results - same as results from boreholes, sediments, corals ...

Fig. 4 Global (a), NH (b) and SH (c) temperature anomaly w.r.t. 1961–1990 mean from: HADCRUT3 instrumental record (black); Mann et al. (2008) multi-proxy with land and ocean records, shaded uncertainty (blue); glacier reconstruction of this study with 95% confidence interval bars (red)
Paper by two European scientists - LeClerq and Oertlemans.

Global and hemispheric temperature reconstruction from glacier length fluctuations
There are no equivalents to these papers because denialist "science" does not exist, no more than Creationism.

Are you paying tax, Trollo? Did you pay for the protesters to come to Durban. You hatemonger are only ridiculing yourself.

You are letting yourself down here, SirCharles. This is only another example of climate science deniers' famous "tolerance" and "respect" that Tombo keeps boasting about.

You are supposed to be shocked into silence on account of his outstanding respect for free speech.

Jo Nova, a sort of Australian Anthony Watts, has been awarded the honour of a "marker" site to respond to her own particular brand of wacky denialism.

    isnotnova is at https://itsnotnova.wordpress.com/

Above is a typical debunking of Nova's "science".

La Nina conditions have started up again in the Pacific Ocean. This is a cooling effect in that region, but is bad news for the SW United States because it means drought conditions will continue in Texas, Arizona, & Southern California. It may also mean renewed flooding in Eastern Australia just like last year.

La Niña reappears: still weak, but expected to slightly strengthen

Here, Texas State Climatologist John Nielsen-Gammon surveys the records broken in the Great Drought:

Texas did not capture the title of Hottest Summer Ever in the lower 48 states: that dubious honor goes to Oklahoma, by about two-tenths of a degree Fahrenheit (86.9 vs. 86.7 average temperatures for June through August). As a consolation prize, Texas receives the award for hottest June all-time as well as hottest August all-time:
