First case of "climate change delusion".

PSYCHIATRISTS have detected the first case of "climate change delusion" - and they haven't even yet got to Kevin Rudd and his global warming guru.

Writing in the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry, Joshua Wolf and Robert Salo of our Royal Children's Hospital say this delusion was a "previously unreported phenomenon".

"A 17-year-old man was referred to the inpatient psychiatric unit at Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne with an eight-month history of depressed mood . . . He also . . . had visions of apocalyptic events."

(So have Alarmist of the Year Tim Flannery, Profit of Doom Al Gore and Sir Richard Brazen, but I digress.)

"The patient had also developed the belief that, due to climate change, his own water consumption could lead within days to the deaths of millions of people through exhaustion of water supplies."

What kind of an arsehole of a psychiatrist leaks information about patients to the press?

He didn't name the young man, nor did he leak anything to the press. The press found the info in the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry.

Chances are this delusion is rooted in some other mental condition, it is just being expressed through global warming. The same can be said of mobile phone masts that should have left our country side a radioactive wasteland years ago - but the digital apocolypse never came and everyone has mobile phones. Campaigns based around disaster movie hysterics always attract the affect the most vunerable.

I found it quite funny to see a few Climate Change loons coming across all hurt and offended when culturally their cause was adopted by the people they preached too. A few even as far as to publically announce it was too late to do anything now, so miffed were they to no longer be special and unique.
