Supplying of incandescent bulbs banned from Saturday next

Quick! Run to the shops to get the last ones before they sell out! Buy enough of them and you can start a black market in them, while giving the eco-fascists the two fingers at the same time.

Lights out for old-style Edison bulb on Saturday | Irish Examiner

Well, you can't blame Gormley for this one, though it was nice to be pioneering as a country for once, rather than always Paddy-last, as regards initiatives like this.

    Aaaaaaannnnddd, off yez go......

Why not electrical heat globes which are 95% efficient with 5% of the energy output being wasted as light?

Many Irish jobs could be created with to fill the huge European Market!
