Do the weather forecasters quoted by the Daily Mail actually exist?

Now, I know you'd have to be an idiot to think that the Daily Mail is anything but a rag of lie and liars but considering how many people, especially climate deniers, like to post Daily Mail articles, I found this article pretty funny.

It begs the question, should links to Daily Mail articles be banned from P.ie?

    well, yes and no.

but I would like people to check sources and references more accurately when they post blogs/tabloid or any other news source in fact.

What is the point of that?

I am guessing it is supposed to be some "climate deniers" story, but climate ain't weather right???

Or is it supposed to be something relating to the recent Met Offcie data hoohaa??? Well, what i the link between weather forecasts in the Mail and that storY????

Or is it some sort of irrational claim that anything that appears in the Mail must by definition be wrong or made up, regardless of who wrote it or what the subject was??? Well, logic fail right there.

The Daily Mail is also the newspaper who published this piece of rubbish, which was picked up by climate science deniers and repeated on this site.

Forget global warming - it's Cycle 25 we need to worry about (and if NASA scientists are right the Thames will be freezing over again) | Mail Online

The UK Met Office dismissed the story as "entirely misleading", and it has been widely debunked. The author, David Rose, has a track record as an "inventor" of lurid climate stories, in which he misquotes scientists he interviews, as he did in this case.

At least, Monbiot (in the OP) is putting the standard of science journalism at the Daily Mail in context. It is also quite a funny piece, and very entertaining!

ah Tombo, good to see you.

I suppose one of you recent posts about subsidies where you lifted a fact from a news blog without tracing back the story/references and in the process misunderstanding what was being said is a classic example of what I'm taking about.

Do you go to some central repository to retreive these fictions?

Regardless, you evasion is noted. What is the point of a Moonbat's diatribe on the source of weather forecasts???

Is his next piece to be somethnig on the source of the astrology predictions? Will you post on that here as well????

Does the Daily Mail really exist? And if it does, why give a flying one what it makes up to sell advertising space?
