I would suspect if a Cork urban constituency (10 seater) and a Cork rural (10 seater) existed the results would be along these lines (at the moment its highly unlikely though Cork would have any more than 19 seats in total):

    Cork Urban: (10 seater)

    FF 4
    FG 3
    Lab 1

    2 seats up for grabs between FF * 2, FG *1, LAB *1, SF * 1, Green *1

    Cork Rural: (10 seater)

    FF 4
    FG 3
    Lab 1

2 seats up for grabs between FF * 2, FG *2, LAB *1

Based on the above the totals would be:

FF max 12 min min 8
    FG max 9 min 6
    Lab max 4 min 2
    Green max 1 min 0
    SF max 1 min 0

At one level it seems fair in that party seat-totals would be more reflective of the share of the vote. I am still opposed however because I feel such a system would greatly weaken the link between constituents and their elected representatives.
