    John Stafford RIP

I would like to express my condolence to the family of John Stafford whose unexpected death took place last week.

    John was buried this morning.

Counted amongst his many life achievements will be his work in relation to bringing nuclear energy to Ireland.

John was a leading member of BENE.

For a few moments we might perhaps put our individual ideologies to one side and pay tribute to a fellow traveller.

He was also the man who gave us the Dublin Spire (at least he was the one who originally proposed it).
The Mahon Tribunal found Olivia Mitchell to have received an inappropriate payment from Frank Dunlop at the time of the 1992 Election. F.G. Gael has taken no action against her.
