Anyone know what the water levels are like in our reservoirs? maybe we can sell them some of our water.
The Blessington lakes are filled to the brim after a number of heavy rainfall events since October so there no risk ATM.

The situation though in the affected parts of the UK is indeed dire and is part of a worrying long term trend in declining rainfall and rapidly rising demand in this part of the BI

Since Maggie privatised the water supply it has rained everywhere but the shagging reservoirs.

There has always been a drought on the east coast of England, in particular Suffolk, Cambridge & London. They do tend to get nice summers though!
On that point, England is living proof that private companies managing the water supply failed miserably.

Why not use the many unemployed skilled construction workers to build more water reservoirs in this country. It would create employment and ensure we would not be caught out if we encountered a sudden drought . On second thoughts this idea is probably too far fetched for our politicians to consider as it would be doing something constructive for our country.
