our central heating is now on. This is unheard of as its usually mid october when we do this.
I'm predicting less money in my bank account due to having to buy extra home heating fuel.

We haven't had the Wintertime/Summertime/ Change the clocks/Don't change the clocks thread yet, and here we are talking about the snow. This site will fall asunder if threads are not started in the correct order.

Serves ya right. You should be paying more for having the audacity to heat your home. You should be promptly punished via an increase in the carbon tax. You shame-less bastard causing all that cooling from the warming.

Shock horror, cold weather between November and January.

I predict leaves will start falling off trees soon. I have a good vibe about it.
You are 100% correct, i saw the ducks in the nettles the other day which backs up your bold statement that the leaves will fall. Who will save us?

I for one hope for a really severe winter. I love really cold days and like driving on near-lethal roads. Also, the population could do with a bit of thinning out.

"...poperly prepared..." I might have known the pope would have something to do with it, he's a busy boyo.

Whatever about the practicalities - there is something beautiful about the world on a crisp, clear and cold winters morning.

It's my favourite weather - very cold and dry.
