My next Discovering Ireland trip may be aboard this nice looking boat seen here preparing to leave Howth harbour county Dublin 5.pm today.

As seen in Howth harbour this lovely sunny evening. A local. There were three I could see swimming close to the harbour wall. Young children were delighted to see them so close.

You won't be disappointed! Was briefly in Howth today. Too many people, went to the summit, too many people, went to Dollymount, not too many people. Nice, in fact.

Howth restaurant packed out yesterday afternoon. Beautifull sunny day most of the time.

Thanks gg2, they help keep the thread spinning.

So I took your advice and was on the Dublin Bay Crusise from Howth to Dun Laoire and back, today.
A lovely experience seeing Irelands eye, the cliffs of Howth gliding by in the sunshine. Dalkey island up close and the ferry harbour.

Not to mention the Bailey lighthouse from below and left and right.

Okay the Dublin Bay Cruise boat can rock. Nevertheless yesterday's trip was through very calm water. The 'snot green' colour of the water hardly broken.

Leaving Dalkey island in the wake. A peaceful thoughtful cruise as Maureen first saw Dalkey and the Wicklow mountains in 1963 on her first ever visit to Ireland on the old overnight mailboat. It may have been the Leinster?
