Touché Toland. Where as yours is obviously tongue in cheek, mine shows me as a pedant. In fairness I don't think this was a typo. The amount of bad grammar on this site which is not down to typos is truly shocking.
This is a primary school error.

The title of this thread attracted people to it similar to the way the ads themselves have everyone talking about Hunky Dorys.
I'm sure the OP could have titled it "Hunky Dory ad"... but I suppose she could be accused of doing the exact same as the advertiser... some shock-value advertising, what's the difference?

must have been the world's quietest complaint as i don't recall a thread about it...
and i totally agree with other poster's comments that the "body image" in those adverts promotes a much healthier body than the heroine chiq skeletons that adorn all the main women's glossy adverts. models, i might add, that only elderly women and gay hairdressers must find sexy as no red blooded man would go near those models (who have the body of a prepubescent boy) in fear of breaking their bones when giving them a good rattle. the hunky dory girls, look like they'd give you a good rattle, and eat raw steak after!!!!
"To robbery, slaughter, plunder, they give the lying name of empire; they make a desert and call it peace." Galgacus (from Tacitus)
How is spanking a woman at all related to selling coffee?
BTW - I didn't know eating crisps was at all related to body dysmorphia, oh my!
We are "they"
actually Hazlitt, all I saw was tits and arse.
would you like me to veil that in some way or be dishonest about it..?
How about 'Mammaries and buttocks and that Hunky Dory AD' ?
when you have tits and an arse, which mostly girls and women do, its
not a huge mystery and generally I wouldn't buy something cos some
idiot advertiser thought they'd sell using sex. Its just irritated me with
both Bus Eireann and Hunky Dorys
