That's right. The steam turbine is a much more efficient machine than the internal combustion engine.

    Jumping the gun there!!
You can only call something a success if it actually achieves something. From the looks of it seems like an ill thought out plan, more like a PR stunt.

    how much are these cars?
where will the charge points be?
existing petrol stations? doubtful and if they are im sure you will be charged for the privelage
    How long is a charge?
How many charge points per facility?
How do you stop gob********************es messing with your car while its charging?
Who fixes it when it breaks?

    Good stuff

Tho I have my worries that ESB are capable of delivering on the logistical side of things.

Then again I suppose - they are linking up customers not competitors so they'll be a bit more spritly about it than for home generators of electricity.

how long is it scheduled to take for the roll out?

If they want to add a killer incentive they should let them use the bus lanes.

I think the ESB will handle the infrastructure alright - they've been pushing this agenda for some time.

I think its a good positive development - yes it will depend on pricing, roll out, implementation and yes there will undoubtedly by problems and issues to resolve but in broad terms it's a positive development and I think worthy of being given the benefit of any doubts for the moment.

Are these the Cars where you have to lease the battery for a monthly fee?

Sellafield is not a power station.
But yes we import energy from the UK and some of it is nuclear.

We could be energy self-sufficient in this country. Hopefully sometime we will.

It does make much more sense to collect and deal with the pollution from a single point (the power station) rather than from hundreds of thousands or even millions of individual exhausts.
