That dishonesty could appear anywhere such ideologically committed people exist. They honestly believe that they are some form of white knight, which implictly bestows the licence to act dishonestly. Hansen fits the profile of such a person.
Oh dear. So you think that this study could provide irrefutible evidence that everyone with political views is a liar and a cheat? Where does that leave you? Why did you then single out climate scientists for attack? This is demagoguery.

The study has nothing to do with AGW research or activism. Why are you so willing to believe this theory about how people with political views behave, even though it is far less rigourously researched, tested or reviewed than other theories which you do not accept?
"But do 'climategate' revelations justify the sceptics’ claims that this is “the final nail in the coffin” of global warming theory? Not at all. They damage the credibility of three or four scientists. They raise questions about the integrity of one or perhaps two out of several hundred lines of evidence."

    Not quite.

Hansen duplicity, dishonesty and data manipulation are already badly exposed. Others like Jone, Mann etc. are similarly indicted by there own email and behaviour.

This paper provides a nice explanation of the psychology behind this behaviour.

    Perhaps yours as well.

Ah so there is further evidence apparently. Where is the evidence to support your accusations against Hansen and Mann? Does it justify calling for a witch hunt against climate scientists?

Many advocates of anti-AGW hysteria in every field: media, political and pseudoscience, have been exposed as liars too. Maybe they bought a Fair trade chocolate bar as well?

THere are indeed people of dubious etgics on both sides of any debate.

But the salient point here is; what is the position of Hensen, Jones, Mann etc.? Let me help you. They are all on large tax payer funded tenure plus massive grant funding and all at the centre of influence at the IPCC.

Even you should be less conerned about a character of dubious ethics at the top of a known "think tank" than one at the heart of public policy or academic infuence.
