None of your conclusions can be drawn from this evidence.
Interesting that the authors seem to be under the impression that it has informational value for understanding climate, down to a seasonal frequency.

You must have been the minority reviewer who rejected the paper for publicaiton.

Third Assessment Report: “long-term prediction of future climate states is not possible.

It has informational value for understanding the climate of iceland. Not the climate of the world. You are inferring from this limited data that global climate change of the scale we are experiencing is normal. There are plenty of explanations for the fluctuations in the icelandic water temperatures as normal regional climate shifts (changes in the earth's axis and orbit, changes in ocean currents, the normal interglacial retreats etc), but the current warming is, by all respectable accounts, not explained in terms of known past processes
Actual morality is doing what is right regardless of what you're told. Religious morality is doing what you're told, regardless of if it's right.

"But do 'climategate' revelations justify the sceptics’ claims that this is “the final nail in the coffin” of global warming theory? Not at all. They damage the credibility of three or four scientists. They raise questions about the integrity of one or perhaps two out of several hundred lines of evidence."
