But it is true. For the last 11 years we have not observed any increase in global temperatures.
I think I know what "annual" means. You want to explain how an pseudonym on an Internet forum knows more than the BBC? Just asking Ibis, I mean who do you think I would believe, honestly!

I have no idea, because I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to get at. Australia had a cool summer - so says the BBC, and I see no reason to doubt them, and apparently neither do you. They also had an exceptionally warm winter over the entire country, so on average they'll have had a warm year. So what is your point exactly?

I thought you were a truth seeker?

Do you believe everything that is written by opinion writers in the BBC?

Do you know how to read a graph?

Do you see which way the line is going? (hint,,upwards) The running 5 year average air temperature of the earth has been increasing over the last 11 years, the red line is more than .1 of a degree celcius higher up on the graph than it was at 1998

What you and your creationist buddies are doing is cherrypicking data and ignoring the trend.

It's transparenty obvious that you are not a 'truth seeker' and that you only want to listen to those that re-inforce your pre-existing prejudice.
Actual morality is doing what is right regardless of what you're told. Religious morality is doing what you're told, regardless of if it's right.

Akrasia, assuming that you are not someone taking the piss, what are your proposals for remediation of the problem ?

    Amazing!

Since real science now according to your most recent definition does not depend on peoples statements then all real science must be a load of hot air emanating from some duct vent pipe in outer Siberia [or some such place].

    Really Hurin.

Do you know anything at all about science?

It seems to me that science to you is some misty eyed perfect love affair.
Like most girls in love your beloved is infallible.

As you mature Hurin you will see that even the most perfect lover has warts.

Indeed the part of your lover you admire most ,AGW, has not got just terminal warts but also monstrous cancerous carbuncles.

Good question, I genuinely believe that we will burn every fossil fuel available on this planet sooner or later and nobody or nothing can stop it or slow it down for that matter.

More condescending pomposity from someone who does not even believe in cause and effect or a prime mover.

This sad and confused poster thinks he can find truth in science while at the same time rejecting the elementary concepts upon which it is based.

"But do 'climategate' revelations justify the sceptics’ claims that this is “the final nail in the coffin” of global warming theory? Not at all. They damage the credibility of three or four scientists. They raise questions about the integrity of one or perhaps two out of several hundred lines of evidence."
