Al Gore has studied the Climategate emails with his typically rigorous eye and dismissed them as mere piffle:

A (GORE): To paraphrase Shakespeare, it’s sound and fury signifying nothing. I haven’t read all the e-mails, but the most recent one is more than 10 years old. These private exchanges between these scientists do not in any way cause any question about the scientific consensus.

And in case you think that was a mere slip of the tongue:

Q: There is a sense in these e-mails, though, that data was hidden and hoarded, which is the opposite of the case you make [in your book] about having an open and fair debate.

A (GORE): I think it’s been taken wildly out of context. The discussion you’re referring to was about two papers that two of these scientists felt shouldn’t be accepted as part of the IPCC report. Both of them, in fact, were included, referenced, and discussed. So an e-mail exchange more than 10 years ago including somebody’s opinion that a particular study isn’t any good is one thing, but the fact that the study ended up being included and discussed anyway is a more powerful comment on what the result of the scientific process really is.

These people are examining what they can or should do to deal with the P.R. dimensions of this, but where the scientific consensus is concerned, it’s completely unchanged. What we’re seeing is a set of changes worldwide that just make this discussion over 10-year-old e-mails kind of silly.

In fact, as Watts Up With That shows, one Climategate email was from just two months ago. The most recent was sent on November 12 - just a month ago. The emails which have Tom Wigley seeming (to me) to choke on the deceit are all from this year. Phil Jones’ infamous email urging other Climategate scientists to delete emails is from last year.

How closely did Gore read these emails? Did he actually read any at all? Was he lying or just terribly mistaken? What else has he got wrong?

Actually the e-mail archives are named by Unix timestamp, ranging from Thu, 07 Mar 1996 14:41:07 GMT through to Thu, 12 Nov 2009 19:17:44 GMT. This is a strong indicator they are extracted from an enterprise archive, probably by the FOIA Compliance Officer and not hacked from individual’s workstations.

Well in that case Gore is either a complete and utter fool or he knows/believes that the stupid public will believe anything that supports their new found pathetic green religion.

Who is the denier now? The green clowns will say or try anything to get you to worship their religion. If people really are buying this level of defense and lies then screw you all. This entire Climategate scandal has done nothing but completely remove any last iota of respect I had for the mainstream media. The mainstream media are repeaters and regurgitators. They have no minds of their own and are completely pathetic within their own existence and their contribution to humanity. They are parasites feeding off of the gravy train. Thought, investigation or skepticism are not a part of the mainstream media processes - they just want to quick fix reporting from press releases and re-writing other peoples words and ideas. This is a disaster for humanity. As a race we are controlled by lies and propoganda.

Look little Simba. Just because FG love carbon taxes and love sexually stroking FF with their delicate hand doesnt give you the right to tell people what can be posted on this website.

The Climategate scandal is unfolding every day with new information and new revelations. Most of the emails are still pending release! So you are in for a horrible future if the current amount of coverage is getting to you.

If you dont like the topic, simply move on. It looks to me that you care deeply about the issue at hand and the fact that it is getting coverage means that your religion is getting decimated and your green ministers are being shown for the corrupt liers that they are.

God Damm this free speech! shouldn't be allowed! Good Post Wakeup, Some focus on the High God of Carbon dollars would be a good thing.

Al Gore is the first Carbon Billionaire and not the last by a long shot.

The point I am making is that this does not deserve a new thread. It can easily fit in anyone of the other conspiracy theory threads.
Its a bit annoying when I log in to politics.ie to see what's happening in Irish politics and all that shows up is a list of conspiracy theory top 10's with titles that are not meant to inspire debate (this one is called "GORE, Caught lying really really badly... Desperately pathetic in fact. WAKE UP", apart from the horrible grammer and random capitalisation, it will only attract cooks and conspiracy theorists)
