Exactly what the eco-nuts have been doing for the past decade. The skeptics were hushed up and controlled by the climatologists. THe skeptics waited until proof came about and now the big bang is under way.

The problem here, is that the preponderance of climate change posts pro and anti, are preventing people from even bothering to read the OP because they assume - usually correctly - that it will have you tube videos, big graphs, and important points made with big writing

So in essence, you are turning your audience off. The more threads you start, the higher the chances that the mods will take radical action against you. That is not a good thing for debate on this website.

I don't tend to get involved in criticising other peoples' threads, God knows people have been mostly kind in accepting my own odd contributions, but a point has to come when enough is enough.

I don't like Gore at all, he's a sanctimonious twat and hypocrite, and the worst everrrrrrrrr winner of the Nobel Peace prize, you're preaching to the converted so enough already.

Please.

No problem, it's not a personal jibe. I'll pick a thread and contribute as you make a fair point.

I think, taking the stand point that there is something seriously dodgy about this whole thing especially in relation to out Great Leaders who are telling us they will fix it for us, that it's not a good idea to call people stupid because they believe in man-made climate change. After all it is supported by a large part of the scientific community and is constantly pushed by the media. Why wouldn't peole believe it. Calling people cultists and loonies only gets their backs up and stops them wanting to listen, no more than when you are called a "denier" in a deliberate attempt to equate your beliefs to Holocaust denial. Why would you want to listen to somebody who engages in that type of dishonest arguement.

One thing both sides should remember is that nobody wants to a John GIbbons on their team.

The people are too docile and if even a few of the readers on p.IE can see the truth for what it really is then they might just wake others up and also start seeing what is really going on around them. People have been conned for too long and now we (the people, all the people) need to stand up against the iron fist. So Malkbeth I wholeheartedy disagree with your comment that this site deserves better, in fact, it deserves more.
Dear Wakeupcall (& friends)

On behalf of humanity I would like to thank you for taking time off from your full-time job of seeing the truth in order to educate the rest of us so comprehensively in what you have decided is our own best interest.

We are humbled by your benificence and just as grateful as we always are to both groups and individuals who undertake (with some regularity) this thankless task.

We would like to thank you too for deciding the matter was so important that you would teach us whether or not we actually wanted to learn. Given that the existence of much smarter people is often regarded with suspicion by people such as our dull, ignorant selves, it is comforting to know that Freedom of (correct) Thought and (your) Expression is so high on your agenda.

Signed (on behalf of the lesser majority of humanity)

At first I thought the Lisbon 1 'debates' couldn't be beaten on the old word count divided by knowledge scale. Then Nama came along and that seemed pretty unbeatable. But our American friends seem to have really hit the heights in the past few days and if font size could also be taken into account they'd be streets ahead.

Dear Mitsui2,
Considering you have already imposed the first stages of your carbon taxes to stop something that may or may not be our fault I would ask you to provide some conclusive proof that CO2 is causing the problem here.

Dont have it? I thought so.

Now take your draconian carbon taxes back until we do have proof or the greenies have ethics.

Yours,

Wakeupcall.
