Exactly.. though all sharper can do is personal abuse, the substance is a problem for him

sarah, sharper, akrasia , ibis etc do so continually. They link to science journals and science organisations and in reply they get links to alex jones, fox news and endless you tube videos. There exists thread after thread of this behaviour and frankly some of us couldn't be bothered anymore.

You don't think that relevant information can come from places other than scientists?

If you are dismissing scientific information as false then you need to have the expertise to understand what you are dismissing and hopefully the expertise to present alternative scientific theories which explain observable phenomena. For example when 97% of climatologists say the data supporting agw is valid one doesn't counter that with a fox self taught creationist weatherman stating it's not. If agw is as false as deniers claim it to be there really should be no problem assembly the data by qualified experts to disprove it. Again for example I would be happy enough to see data and theory from the 3% of climatologists who disagree with agw on these threads but instead we get alex jones and senator inhofe.

What makes you so certain that we're wrong?

No doubt if I or any other person who does not deny AGW posted the above I would be accused of "trying to shut down the debate".

Why is sharper's abuse wrong but the much more voluminous abuse from you and The Field Marshal OK?
"But do 'climategate' revelations justify the sceptics’ claims that this is “the final nail in the coffin” of global warming theory? Not at all. They damage the credibility of three or four scientists. They raise questions about the integrity of one or perhaps two out of several hundred lines of evidence."

I did yesterday and the cern link is interesting and so is fortesbrands. He actually seems to try for genuine skepticism. Most of those on the anti agw side of the argument on these threadsdon't and the attack on sharper was without merit as he and the others mentioned link to the science all the time.
