Well, the arguments about action being needed to protect biodiversity were a laugh from the outset (as S. America & S.E. Asia are incentivised to convert wilderness areas).
Could the carbon credit scam & industry re-location (giving the developing world their pollution quota & reducing western activity) be the only causes here ?
How was the whole thing influencing the corporate takeover of agricultural land ?

Hmmm... the sheer volume of data, and the technical trails are highly problemic. But I predict they will refute it all, or heavily undermine it, by claiming that they were infiltrated by anti-science scientists who made it all up in the hope it would be hacked.... then these anti-science insiders will be labeled 'anti-semetic' etc, 'we found a book in one of their homes and there was a half paragraph that technically can be construed as... etc. etc.

So don't expect any kind of meaningful political change or discourse. The only way (and a very peaceful one at that) of creating real change is for at least 25% of the population to refuse to pay carbon tax, and for each and every person in that minority to back each other up and be willing to go to jail. They cannot possibly jail so many people -ergo any global tax can be shot down over-night. But it'll be a few years yet before the required numbers build up? At least there is some small hope of a little justice.

Capitalists don't accept scientific truth because it interferes with their profits. The capitalists run the media, and can buy out most governments, so dont believe this RUBBISH you are been fed!!

Those kind of words are used across the globe by politicians everywhere reading from the same global governance script.

AGW is a device to create a new global taxation system to benefit a very few, IMHO.

Sad to say, but people will believe anything if that belief is the majority belief.

Of course we need to bare in mind that environmental damage does occur, even genetic damage is occuring and these aspects are manmade -but in a very deliberate and calculated way -not lazy people dumping stuff or getting ahead of themselves in the lab... whatever actual harm is being done occurs for profit -and long-term profit- and in order to control peoples.

It's too much for some people to believe that even the 'sacred', worshiped scientific elite -the high priests and priestesses of materialism- can be bought, manipulated, threatened, undermined and CONTROLLED. They're not gods, they're just sheep live the rest of us.
I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss the possibility that human activity is affecting the climate, but the whole representation/use of the subject was sus.

If you look at the Earth as an organic whole, self-sustaining and balancing, the loss of forestation is bound to have implications.

The lol is on you and the other simpletons on this thread. Climate change is a fact and these hacked files do nothing to undermine the fact. There is NO evidence of fraud and NONE of data being faked. What you see is informal contact between scientists. The best the climate denying nut cases could come up with is the word "trick" which could, and probably does mean a technique rather than an effort to pull the wool over someone's eyes. Keep up your ostrich like behavior cause it is fun watching the deniers behave like King Canute.

Evidence? Facts? Links? Peer reviewed scientific journals?

Reading up on this here, it's (perhaps) significant that the files were hosted from within Russia. IT was wither the stereotypical 'kid' in a garage, or a government or agency that carried out the hack? The Anglo-american establishment seem to semi-oppose the Russian elite, so perhaps there is an in fight, or some rogue elites. We will never know, but fingers-crossed the media will do their job for once and allow an open debate to occur. It's long overdue.

Capitalists is a very broad term jelpor, the people you are referring to are those who control the creation of credit from thin air and charge interest for the use of this credit., but that's another story. Yes people are indeed fed pure rubbish, but they produce different kinds of rubbish to suit all tastes.

    I'm back OT.
