    For those who insist it's been getting colder since 1998, how many periods where your area has been covered with snow for more than 7 days have there been since then.

    Back in the 70s and always before, such a thing was perfectly normal, yet the modern normal Irish year goes from beginning to end without any snow that is more than a light dusting that lasts less than 48 hours.

    Any explanation as to why that is, seeing as you think it's getting cooler?
