Do any posters know where RTE, TG4, The Sunday Mail, etc are conducting their next constituency opinion poll?
Word up here is that the pollsters have been out on the street in Donegal. Should be interesting...

Well a poll is due out on Sunday according to a thread on Connaught-Ulster for Galway West. The PDs retained their seat here on 5.4% of the 1st preference vote by running 3 candidates. It's thought they will only run two candidates this time. Will be most interesting as the second recent poll from there - especially in terms of judging if the McDowell effect has helped the party here. They got 12% in the local-elections I hope they hold it as a PD-inclined voter for next year. I understand on past experience that the next Red C national-poll will be out this Sunday (unless someone knows different). Will be most interesting because it will give a pointer (though not an absolute indicator) to whether the Bertie-bounce is a lasting phenomenon or just a short-term sympathy-vote. Of course, Red C has a radically different methodology to the other polls except for ICM. They apparently allocate 50% of the undecideds to how that social-group voted in the last General Election, and weight the results of the entire sample according to likelihood to vote based on social-group including age. Whether this results in more accurate results remains to be seen.
FT, ya ould opinion poll junkie.
We all are of course, its just that you admit it....![]()
