Seeing as we are coming up to election time, I thought it might be fun to begin a thread like this.
As everyone knows, when in election mode, politicians, candidates and parties sometimes lose the run of themselves, and promise some, well .. crazy things.
Last time out we had Eircom shareholder refunds, and taxi driver compensations.
So what will it be this time.
To start with, can I advance a promise from the Labour Party, and one of my own rivals in the race.
In todays South Tipp Today, a smiling Phil Prendergast is pictured on an ad with the caption
"Today, people are lying on hospital trolleys in A&E departments,
Tommorow, If you decide to vote Labour, we will end the hospital waiting lists"
So, there you go. Labour, or maybe just Phil (SuperPhil ?), is going to end the A&E waiting lists in 24 hours.
Wow...
I'm not so sure about The Day After... probably end world hunger .. I'll wait for next weeks paper.
So politicos, keep an eye out for the promises, and share the fun with the rest of us
