I think a lot of people have spoken about the left uniting against Lisbon. Joe Higgins mentioned it in an interview with The Irish Times last Saturday. As an MEP he should lead the calls really, and take over the leadership of the Irish left in Europe.

Well some groups made their calls for a general strike obvious (I'm thinking of the giant posters on Liberty Hall and Parnell Street).
A one day protest - it turned out to be called over a wage increase and failed for obvious reasons to win a large enough majority.
