Ray McAdam was elected to Dublin City Council for the Noth Inner City. Is he the youngest councillor on Dublin City Council? He won in an area where FG hadn't a council representative for some time.

............and they're just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I'm sure I've left out several - and I haven't even counted FG's outgoing Cllrs. from 2004 who are in their 20s who were re-elected
Perhaps the most serious aspect of the election from an FF perspective was that 40% of their candidates were running for the first time, and they also had quite a large number of young candidates running - but the vast majority lost out. Many of their young candidates were based in strategic areas which will prove problematic in the future (Dublin City for example), but took an absolute pasting. They may not relish another run next time.
The most obvious example is Averil Power in Howth/Malahide. A genuine talent and likely Dáil material, based in a constiuency with ageing and unimpressive FF Cllrs and Oireachtas members. She polled well, but lost because the tide went out for FF. This will greatly restrict FF's options when they attempt to clear out the deadwood (or the dead-Woods, to be more precise) at the next election. They must be facing similar situations in many constituencies, particularly now that voluntary retirements are far more likely.
It is surely very worrying for FF HQ to see people like Power losing out, while lorry-loads of useless 65+ gombeens across the country managed to hold onto their seats
In Dun Laoghaire Rathdown
Neale "Smashie" Richmond (25) was elected in Glencullen-Sandyford, doubling the FG vote there and winning 2 out of 4 seats
Barry Saul (late 20's) was elected in Stillorgan, topping the poll with 26%. He'd been a PD Cllr for a bit before
Maria Bailey (early 30's) was elected in Ballybrack
Barry Ward (late 20's) was elected in Blackrock, additional seat there for Fine Gael too
Very strong base to try hold 3 in Dublin South & push for 2 in Dun Laoghaire next time out
And Emma Coburn in Rathfarnham (30) - gained a seat there for FG
