    Who will take Alan Kelly's seat in the senate???

    Just wondering who is in contention to take alan kelly's seat in the senate and who is his substitute candidate when he runs in the next general?

    any senator places vacated due to being elected to MEP positions will be filled by a vote of the Dail, hence government apoointes.

    Only will be 1 by the looks of it, if Alan Kelly scrapes it.

    me ar$e! Unless there's a very high number of non-transferables from Ferris, Kelly will need at least 40% of them. It'd be great, but I'd not be making him favourite.

    I agree, odds on he will maintain his lead but I, for one, would not put money on it.

    Transfers are so unpredictable who knows where they will go (if at all)
