For the sake of democracy, I am praying that Ryan defeats McDonald. However, I can't see him succeeding due to FF anitaphy amongst voters. OMG I never thought I would be on tenterhooks for an FFer - my late grandfather would turn in his grave!

For the sake of Democracy????? What are you on about. This is democracy - the right of a citizen to vote. So if they do elect MLM is this not democracy? OMG you guys never fail to amaze me. It is pure and utter hatred. Now if you vote in a referendum and the result is X but you wanted Y and then you decide to hold the election again until you get Y then sir that is definitely NOT democracy. And that is the state we live in. Corrupt, undemocratic with the main parties and their supporters holding a view that if you vote for a certain party that you are not democratic - you are either a thug or a brain washed thick. This is third world stuff.
Given the relatively poor working-class turnout in Dublin, would McKenna's chances be better than MLM's for the third seat? Already have 20 euro on MLM.
