Getting desperate if they have to roll out Harney to try to bolster up this guy! Lots of spin but this piece says it all:

So it comes down to this: if elected, Eoin Ryan will work for Dublin; Mary Lou McDonald will work for Sinn Fein -- nothing else.

What have these FF wasters and Harney ever done for Dublin? Beaumont Hospital and MRSA Center? The Mater Hospital and Building Site? Temple Street Childrens Hospital and Parent Atonement Center?

They have some brass neck, have these politicians. Spin, spin and even more spin. Then promises, committees, commissions, roll outs, going forward, trust us, screw you.

What are this team's achievements to date? Is it a long list and doe we risk getting bored after reading halway through?

Mary Lou has been criticised for her attendance but has anyone mentioned her work rate? I know that our pal Thevez seldom plays a full match yet he get results! It's not all about attendance as can be seen from some of the deadweights in the Dail. Tallaght O'Connor comes to mind.

Turdsl, I wish this was true, that her P45 was at the ready!! But think about it logically - the doctors and nurses hate her, the public do not like her, her party has disolved so her mandate is questionable, she brought in the HSE - a disaster to date...the list goes on....there is/was ample reasons for getting rid of Mary Harney as Minister for Health..so you have to ask yourself -how come she is till there as Minister??? I believe I could possibly have the reason - She has 1 huge piece of "dirt" on Bertie/Cowen and the boys that is so big, that would lead to a massive fallout for Bertie/Cowen and FF if she leaked any of it!! Thus she has them over a barrel...its the only rational and plausable explanation!

Good points by MH, they neded to be said. Neither McDonald or Higgins is committed to Europe and will jump ship at the first available opportunity. We need committed pr-European people representing us in Brussels and Strasbourg right now as we fight our way out of the recession.

You got to admire and love politics. Its sometimes so mad that you can only sit back and laugh and by laugh I mean laugh my a@s off!

My first thought on this would be your right mary because the 8 hours I spend in casulity by the backlog you created would prob kill me!

Ms Harney is appealing to voters for Fine Gael's Gay Mitchell and Labour's Proinsias de Rossa to pass on their preference to Mr Ryan - Now if you thought that politics in Ireland was not if i scratch your back you scratch mine jesus this is daft! Such a contradiction and puts fuel on the fact that voters see Fianna Failure and Fine Gael as being no different!


There is many thing come to mind here but I will stick to political facts.

1st Mary harney should mind her own business and is doing no one any favours by drawing comparission simularities between Fine Gael Fianna Failure and Labour. Jesus they will all sit on total different partys in europe. How stupid can you make the Irish look!

2nd For Fianna Gael votes to transfer to fianna failure would be a brilliant stat to show the likeness of fianna failure and fianna gael. I can see the press having a fiend day with enda's next speach! Jesus again how daft can we go!

3rd For a socialist party like labour to have all its transferes go to Fianna failure! my god I am still laughing.

Am i the only one that can see the stupidity and the underlying message in this. Does everyone realise if Mary Lou mac donald or joe higgins does not get in we will have not have a no voice in europe in other words we will all have yes men! literally no voice of women and no conflicting voice to tell us whats wrong. My man de rossa will do fine but Harney please give up and retire with your 3 pensions

Sorry I started a thread on this not realising. One thing comes to mind if they all get in as the wide one predicts we will have all yes men in europe.... Makes you wonder the wide ones agenda!
