Say 2 houses were occupied by families who were half Irish. Would that count as one?
Do I count as Irish? I was born abroad but grew up here and now have an Irish passport.

Its not positive discrimination. Its about making sure that SF represents - an dis more representative of - the diverse nation we have become. That means more black and asian candidates.

Most of our immigrants would be young ambitious people, unlikely to support aparty that's built on failed 19th century dogma and nationalism.
The Mahon Tribunal found Olivia Mitchell to have received an inappropriate payment from Frank Dunlop at the time of the 1992 Election. F.G. Gael has taken no action against her.

    Otherwise no.
Oh dear my children are not Irish so. We keep them away from sugarey fizzy drinks and crap daytime children's tv.
Ironically, their passports arrived in the post yesterday.

But joking apart, what will you be saying in 10 years time? What tv show and fizzy drink will you consider to be Irish? Will it bother you that children of all skin colours will have shared the same experiences?
What if they can hurl, do Irish dancing and are content to eat ham sangwidges on a cold windy beach, are they then Irish, though they be Moslems?

Whats wrong with East European and Middle Eastern candidates?
Ireland interests are best secured within a more dynamic EU. Vote YES to Lisbon.
