Fine Gael launches proposals aimed at safeguarding jobs

    Wednesday May 27 2009

Fine Gael has launched proposals which it says will prevent the loss of 80,000 jobs in the small and medium business sector.

The party's 18 point plan, revealed this afternoon, includes a two year PRSI exemption for employers taking on new staff, reduced local authority rates and cuts in VAT rates.

Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny claims the package could save the average small business €50,000 a year.

"Our number one focus is on getting people back to work," Mr Kenny said. "It is the single most important issue right now across the country."

Ehh He starts by stating he is going to SAVE 80,000 jobs and finishes with GETTING PEOPLE BACK TO WORK.
Well Enda sure your a great man. With all the jobs, 100,000 in a year and all the jobs you are saving 80,000.
So what is all the fuss about, we will have full employment in no time. MAYBE

    What are you talking about?
Is there some point to your contribution to the cut and paste above it?

PRSI exemption is a good idea, but from what I understand, its already under consideration by the Department of Finance vis a vis a reduction in Job Seekers Benefit.
A demagogue is someone who will preach doctrines he knows to be untrue to men he knows to be idiots.

    Jobs

OK, can some FG insider please inform us all how ENDA is going to do the following:
    1. He has stated on numerous occassions that he will create 100,000 jobs in a year. Where or what will the jobs be?

    2. He stated this morning that he is going to save 80,000 jobs. How does he hope to achieve that? On this particular one, a vast amount of the jobs lost were as a result of Global Companies leaving and the further fall out was the companies that supplied the Global Companies.

So it should be rather simple to explain as statements like those would have been researched thoroughly. Or they are just Election waffle which in effect places him right in the same room as FF.
We have listened to their lies long enough, is he now just taking up the baton to run with it?

    1. Did you bother to actuall READ the proposals, perhaps?

    2. When will the "Seniors Solidarity Party" be re-merging with FF ? A fortnight after the election maybe?

Proposals read in depth. They have no substance
