    'FF Logo' redress...direct democratic action...

Should all miniscule FF Logos be magnified by direct action. Logo Redressing if you will...
Whether they are miniature, non-existent, or on 'independent' posters of red/blue colours or other, is this not the kind of snivelling cowardice & stroke pulling that has to stop in this country.

People bang on here about corruption and principles etc., and in the middle of an election there are thousands of candidates misrepresenting their allegiances.

If you are man/woman enough to fly the flag on a good day then you should have the respect for the electorate to fly the flag on a potentially not so good day.

JP Sartre once referred to the 'ludicrous ceremonial of the ballot box' in his essay ' Is this a deomocracy'. And if this is a democracy then the people deserve the truth upfront. Democratic elections aren't just about ticking boxes, they are about debating the whole tenor of representation/misrepresentation as the case may be from local level upwards.

    Is it time to act?

well if you've nothing better to do, and it really does annoy you.. go around writing "FF" on the posters in big letters..

Ps, I don't condone such action.. but neither do I like people whinging without doing anything about it themselves

I'm seriously beginning to wonder if this Forum isn't home to people who are clinically insane.

I don't think anyone was proposing anything of the sort.

If you dont like it why dont you canvass your area for a non ff candidate or let the people know who the ff candidates are in your area. On the otherhand you can sit at your computer and whine on and on and do nothing. I suspect it will be the later, but hey thats democracy.

Vandalism of posters was clearly being called for.

FG vandalized their own by putting that colored anus of a logo on theirs taking up half the poster.

I've obviously hit a nerve here with somepeople...
Posters are temporary installations which will be dumped, unless of course some candidates will re-use then in a few months for the GE that will be on underway by then by all accounts...

The government will serve it's full term, we don't collapse into heaps whenever tough decisions need to be made, unlike FG and Labour in the 1980s.
