Libertas branded a fascist party by MEP de Rossa

A few weeks ago David Cochrane of Libertas and Politics.ie gave me an infraction for using the term fascist in relation to Libertas. In today's Irish Times it is announced Labour MEP Proinsias de Rossa has stated the same thing. Libertas are a fascist party.
Labour’s Dublin MEP Proinsias de Rossa said he expected nothing else from Libertas which he accused of being a “fascist party”. He said: “They are aligned with all the far-right parties across Europe. It is divisive politics that these parties are involved in. If this system was implemented, tens of thousands of Irish people living and working across the EU would have to be sent home.

In the same edition of the Irish Times it is announced that After missing the deadline to submit its own candidates, the AUF’s 11 election candidates have agreed to support Libertas if elected.

The joint campaign will be launched in Frankfurt with a speech by Eva Herman, a German newsreader sacked two years ago for praising Nazi family policies.
Libertas? Nein Danke! Say NO to Europe's New Right Wing: Lech Walesa for Dublin and supporter of Nazis for Libertas meeting in Germany

Libertas have been exposed for being an ultra far right party. They are now have two candidates running in Ireland using the race card to bolster they failing electoral campaigns.
It is time to take firm action against Libertas they must be driven from public life.

It is amazing that on this site the owner editor only two weeks back censured this poster for stating the facts about Libertas. It is nice to see vindication coming from the main stream media.

It's good to see that the 'nutjobs' that Ganley has allied Libertas too are finally being exposed to a bit of publicity.

His Blue Card proposal is the height of stupidity: restricting emigrants from Ireland to two years before their right to work could be stopped is cracked.

I really hate Libertas, and I think it should be a banned organization. Still, not as bad as the Labour party.

Are you sure it would only be 50,000?

No, no we will not. His party called for an end to immigration from the accession states until our economy recovers. Nobody mentioned deportations, and well you know it.

There's a lot more than 50,000 Irish people living and working in other EU countries; God knows how many there are in the UK alone.

Can you imagine the reaction of their families in Ireland when they hear that they might lose their jobs and be forced to go back to Ireland to, more than likely, sign on the dole?

If other candidates play this right, and present it as a restriction on the right of Irish people to emigrate at a time of high unemployment, instead of a move to restrict immigration, it'll backfire in Ganley's face big time.

They've got to use their cop-on though: make it about Irish people being restricted in their right to emigrate, not about immigration.

it is hard to know, how many Irish people are out of work in other countries? I had not factored in the UK . It could be a huge number.

I think I read on here that 500,000 Irish people lived on continental Europe.
