Gormley berates electorate for "irrational" low confidence in FF/Greens

In an astonishing outburst that is being reported on Newstalk, Green leader John Gormley has attacked the people for an "irrational" response to the economic crisis.

    Has he finally lost it?

You have to look at it from the FF-Lite point of view. They're all irratational except us.

He's feeling the pressure. This is his first election as leader and the polls indicate a near wipeout for his Cllrs and a very poor vote for the Euro candidates. Plus even at 3% the Green vote is overstated as the Greens always perform better in the polls than in actual votes because the young profile of their voters who do not actually then vote in proportion to the way the polls proportion it out across the age brackets.

The Green Party have made themselves a complete irrelevance - both to the other political parties and to their core supporters. They are the cheapest whores in Irish politics. Gormely's having a tantrum because the magnitude of his mistakes are coming home to roost. I hope they are destroyed along with Fianna Fail. The wrost traitors in Irish politics since Spring's government.

I saw him in the Heritage Center in Wexford yesterday. There was a guy with him who had a big-ass camera. Presumably working on his photo-ops while the rest of use are busy being 'irrational'

I heard his comments and thought "the mask slips". Gormley advised us to "take a step back". I'll take several before I give him a good kick!

I was thinking the same. A good run-up before I give him a kick!
