    Deadline for registering

    Hi,

I've been living in England for the past year and a combination of my friends and family back home not telling me about the upcoming election for whatever reason, and my not checking the Irish websites (silly, I know) I'm now wondering is it too late to get myself on the electoral register- I'm not already on it because I only turned 18 a year ago.

Also, does anyone know when the candidates will be confirmed for Wicklow? I'm living in Bray now since coming back from England on Tuesday and have seen a few posters up but haven't come across a confirmed list- I'm curious as to whether the people before profit alliance will have put someone forward given Carmel McKenna's shocking outing in the general election (350 votes was it?) Surely it won't be her again anyway!

You can still register up to next weekend. Saturday is the cut of date.

You must fill in an RFA2 form, which can be got from a local post office, library, local authority office or Garda station... or which you can download and fill in from here

It must be filled in, and then stamped by a Garda.. or, and I just found this out yesterday.. if you do not wish to go to a Garda station, you may go to your local authority office, and give them ID when handing it in and they will accept it

Thanks a million wysiwyg. I'll pop down to the police station tomorrow.
